Print off this cute paper airplane for a fun classroom valentine for your little one to give at school.
I have teamed up with 7 great blogs and together we bring you 8 new printables (one a month) for all the big holidays and special dates this year. To start the year off, it’s all about Valentine’s Day this month, cute classroom Valentines for your little ones to take to school.
For our printable Valentine, we’ve created a double sided paper airplane that reads: “You make my heart SOAR”. It has a place to write your child’s name and the name of a classmate on the underside. The inspiration for our Valentine (a paper airplane), came from Cathe Holden and her airmail paper airplane. Also ever since the Disney short Paper Man, I see paper airplanes in a new way…so romantic!
This would also be a fun Valentine for a boy to take to school because it has no pink. 😉
Here’s a short How-To video to show you how to fold it up. Once you have it printed on both sides, you will get 4 paper airplanes out of one sheet. Say there are 25 kids in your child’s classroom, you will print out 6 sheets to equal 24 + 1 extra.
I know a lot of moms who like the idea of non-candy Valentines at school since there is always so much candy.
Well this paper airplane doubles as “the toy” and the Valentine in one!

Thanks Amy! I love yours too! So darling!
This is so darling. So nice to have a non candy option, and it would great for any child (even a boy) to hand out! Clever! Thanks Kami!
thanks Cindy!!
Love this Kami… I am pinning 🙂
thank you cute Desi!! So glad we got to chat. I adore you! 🙂
I love the paper airplanes! What a cute valentine.
thank you Becky!!
I love this, Kami. My son is in third grade and he approved. We had a little trouble printing from my laptop, so I told him I’d work out the printing while he slept. He said, “Can you email me the link to the video after I go to bed, too?” So here I am. 🙂
Printing worked fine on our desktop computer, BTW.
yay! I love that! He’s hilarious!!
I love the paper airplane Valentines…but I am having so many issues with the folding. I can’t help but wonder if they are not printing out correctly so that when I’m finished following the tutorial all the wings and folds are not symmetrical.
Hi Erica! Oh shoot! I’m not sure what to tell you. We’ve had so many downloads on this printable, and you are the first one to mention this. I’m sorry I can’t help on this. Shoot.
Hi Erica…it’s probably too late to mention this, but you might check to see if your printer is printing the actual size. I’ve noticed some printers will be automatically set to “shrink to fit”. The printing and the folds are pretty precise, so if your printer is automatically shrinking the print, it will throw off the proportions and the folds won’t work correctly.
I hope that helps…sorry I didn’t think to put that in the original post.
Hi Thanks for the airplane idea. My boys loved it. The twins are 4 yrs old and had a blast making them. I only had to show them once how to fold them.. .. But of course they had to give most of them a test flight!!
Sorry I’m just now replying but yes you are right re: the printer and it defaulting to shrink to fit. Thank you so much!! These are perfect for my son’s class!! 🙂
I love this idea. Especially for a boy Valentine! Super cute idea!
Where can I download the paper airplane valentines card printable template?
Where can I download the “paper airplane” Valentine card printable template?
Thank You! You seriously saved the day. My daughter’s girl scout troop leader just told us they’d be exchanging valentines for the meeting TONIGHT. These came out so cute and my daughter loves them!
I have purchased the paper plane download, but not sure where to download from? Can someone help?
Ange 🙂
I just paid the $1 for the paper airplane valentine download and now I can’t figure out how to download it. Please help.
Hi Leslie! Thank you for your purchase! I will send the file via email. Sorry for the confusion, sometimes the file is sent to spam and junk folders in email.
Just sent via email. Thank you for your purchase!
I paid for a printable and have not received it. I need this by tomorrow.
Now that you are charging for this download, you should remove the FREE from the images and blog post. It is very misleading.
This is such a cute idea! I need this for tomorrow! How long does it take to process and for me to receive the email?
Hi I just paid I am in a rush to make these for tomorrow. I thought it would be an immediate download…please email me the link asap thank you.
Just purchased and really need them by tonight! Thanks
I also paid and have not received an email. and nothing in my junk folder.
Just re-sent! Sorry for the delay. Thanks for your purchase! It often times is found in Spam and Junk Folders.
Hi, I paid for the download but haven’t received anything yet. Is there something else I need to do? We are plaNing on making these tonight. Thanks!
Were you able to send me the link? I need them tonight?! If not, then will you be able to issue a refund? I will need to do something different tonight if I don’t get them by 2 p.m. Sorry to be a hassle, but tomorrow is Valentine’s day! Thanks!
yes! Sent. Please let me know if you don’t receive.
Not free, no longer $1, it has jumped to $2. AND you have to watch not 1, but 4 advertisements during a 3 minute video to learn how to put them together. I understand you need to make money, but sheesh!
Did you receive your download?
Yes, sorry for the ads. Our ad network controls the video ads and I’m working with them to reduce the number of ads. For the printable, every one starts out free for the first year, and then we price it based on demand. This printable has continued to grow in demand which has required more behind the scenes work. After we subtract the PayPal fees, we had to increase the cost to justify the amount of time we spend working on it.
Just an FYI the airplane is no longer a free printable. It costs $2 to download

Totally understandable, but you might want to remove the graphic that says “free” 🙂
Hi. I paid for the airplane but dont see it in my email or spam could you please re send it to donoghuemom@hotmail.com
Hi! Sorry I was away from email. Sorry for the delay. Thank you for your purchase, the file has been sent!
