These Ham Rolls are a family favorite recipe. Fresh ground pork shaped into the shape of a roll baked in the most delicious sauce.
This is one of our special Sunday Dinner family favorite meals. This recipe for Ham Rolls is a family favorite passed on from her dear friend who passed a few years ago. Whenever my mom makes these, you know it’s going to be a GOOD SUNDAY! My mom is such a great cook, her Sunday Dinners are a highlight of our weeks for sure.
These photos are not the best, because we were at my parents home and the sun had already gone down, but just know that if you make this your family will love it.
You basically form the ground pork into little rolls or little mounds with a divot in the center to catch the sauce.
You then baste them with the most delicious sauce.
As they bake, you periodically open the oven to baste them, pulling the sauce from the pan to drizzle over the top each one.
Ham Rolls are a family favorite recipe. Small little mounds of fresh ground pork and ham bake in a delicious sweet and tangy sauce.
For the Ham Rolls
- 1 lb. ground ham
- 1½ lb. ground pork
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/2 Cup water
For the Ham Rolls:
To make the ground ham, you can use your Kitchen Aid meat grinder attachment for this if you'd like, you can also ask your local meat department to grind it for you. Mix together well: the ground ham, ground pork, bread crumbs, milk and eggs. Form into little mounds, creating a divot in the center.
For the Glaze:
Mix all the glaze ingredients together and pour over the ham rolls.
Bake at 350’ for 1 hour. Baste a few times during the cooking time pulling the sauce from the pan and drizzle it over the ham rolls.
Serves 6-8 depending on size of the little meat loaves that you make.
These also make the BEST leftovers...great in sandwiches with mustard the next day. Yum!
