Easy Waffle Recipe

We love this classic waffle recipe. Crispy on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside.

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon *optional


  1. Warm up your waffle iron.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix to combine the: flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

  3. Add in the eggs, melted butter, milk and vanilla extract. Add in the ground cinnamon at this time too if desired. Stir well until combined.

  4. Spray the warmed waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray.

  5. Scoop about 1/2 cup of waffle batter and pour it into the warmed waffle iron.

  6. Cook until lightly golden brown.

  7. Serve warm with syrup, fresh berries or fruit, and whipped cream if desired. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

*Determine the style of waffle iron you are using. For a Belgian style waffle maker you will use about a 1/2 cup of batter. For an American style waffle maker you will use less batter. The amount of batter will vary based on the style of waffle iron you are using.
