Easy Semi-Homemade Parmesan Breadsticks.
Do you have Rhodes dough in the freezer section where you live? If so, count yourself as lucky. It’s a Utah company, and for years we have all loved their bread dough. I love to make these parmesan breadsticks with their frozen white bread loaves. They are so easy, and so delicious! They go great with so many meals too.
I’ll share the full recipe below, but here’s the Rhodes dough that I use for it. One loaf makes almost a full pan of breadsticks. You can keep the other frozen loaves in the freezer until you’re ready to use them.
Once thawed in your fridge overnight, you can roll and slice it into strips. Then just butter, garlic salt and the powdered Kraft parmesan cheese. You can try other grated cheeses, but this one just works so good with this recipe.
The easiest semi homemade Parmesan Breadsticks made easy with store bought bread dough found in the freezer section.
- white bread dough loaf (we love Rhodes Dough) uncooked, thawed but still cold
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (Kraft Brand) grated
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
Thaw the Rhodes dough loaf in the fridge overnight. It’s best when its still cold but completely thawed.
Roll out the bread on a floured surface and slice into little strips.
Place cheese onto separate plate. Melt the butter in the microwave. Place melted butter in a dish for dipping. Add the garlic salt to the melted butter and mix it in with a fork.
With a cold stick of butter, grease the pan before you begin.
Roll each breadstick in the butter. Next roll each buttered breadstick in parmesan cheese. Place breadstick on baking sheet in 2 rows of twelve each. Give the breadsticks a little twist before laying them down on the pan.
Cover with plastic wrap. Let rise until double in size. Remove wrap and bake at 350 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes or until golden brown.

That’s it. This dough also works great for making cinnamon sugar breadsticks. Which are amazing!
