The best marinade for Grilled Flank Steak.
Alright, today’s post is all about Flank Steak. Perfectly marinated and grilled steak is a beautiful thing! I’m not much for consuming large portions of meat at one meal, and that’s why I love recipes like this when you slice off thin strips of steak to feed a few. Depending on your family size, you can take something like this flank steak and make dinner a few different ways.
What Is Needed To Make Marinaded Grilled Flank Steak?
- 1 and 1/2 pound flank steak with the fat trimmed off
- 1/2 of a cup vegetable oil
- 1/3 of a cup soy sauce
- 1/4 of a cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh if you have it
- 1 and 1/2 tablespoons Worcesteshire sauce
- 1 clove of finely minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1/2 of a teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- a dash of cayenne pepper
How To Make Grilled Flank Steak:
- Mix together the ingredients for the marinade (minus the steak) in a dish and pour it into a heavy duty zip lock bag.
- Add the flank steak and marinate for up to 24 hours.
- Heat the grill to medium high heat and grill the meat for about 7 minutes on each side. When nicely browned, let it rest on the pan for a few minutes. Slice and serve. The secret is to slice it thinly across the grain of the meat at a downward angle.
