Super Sliders!

Roast Beef Super Sliders |

Are you starting to think about yummy appetizers and finger food…say for the big Game coming up that first weekend in February?! If so, this recipe is always a crowd pleaser!

So these are probably not the most healthy little sandwiches around, but they make for great party food. They have three of my favorite things: worcestershire sauce, butter and roast beef! Yum!

You start by making all the little roast beef sandwiches,

You then pour this yummy sauce all over them and bake them covered in tinfoil. After they have been baked in the sauce, the bottom of the bun gets this crust on it, that’s really good! It makes me hungry just thinking about it now.

Super Sliders (the recipe)

-Bag of Costco Rolls
-2 Packages Sliced Roast Beef
– Sliced Swiss Cheese

– 1 Cube Butter
– 4 Tablespoons worcestershire sauce
– 1 tsp Garlic Pepper
– 2 Tablespoons Poppyseeds/sesameseeds (or 1 of each)

Cut the rolls in half and fold one piece of roast beef in half and one piece of swiss cheese for each roll. Place into a 9×13 pan making room for 12.

Melt butter and mix all ingredients together. Brush onto rolls. The sauce makes enough for 2 pans/ 24 sandwiches. Cover pans with tinfoil and cook at 350 for 30 minutes.

Next time you host something, you’ll have to give these a try!

*Originally posted June 2011…this recipe is definitely a good one to re-share for new readers…plus with the SuperBowl coming up soon, you’ll love these little hot sandwiches for feeding a crowd!

I never would have thought to cook the buns with the sauce but they look wonderful! Definitely going to give them a try. Anything with a stick of butter has to be great, right?

It’s incredibly hard to please my husband because he is extremely picky, but I made these for him this evening and his exact words were “I could eat these every night!” That my friends is a home run in our house, thank you so much for the recipe!

      Thank You,

Made these yesterday for our neighborhood Christmas party and they were gone in a blink of an eye. People were complaining that they wished they grabbed more than one before they were gone.

Only change I did was adding caramelized onions on top of the cheese. YUMMY! Thanks for the very easy recipe.

I’m glad someone already asked if they were soggy or not….after seeing the underside of that bun….YUM!

Quick question, at one point in the post you say to brush the sauce over the rolls and another says to pour the sauce all over it? I’m going to make these for a family reunion in a couple of days and I was just wondering if I could get clarification? I’m all about more tasty sauce being poured on them to enhance flavor but I want to double check before I soggify them. Thanks!

Also, where did you buy your roast beef? Sadto say I’ve never made anything with roast beef before so I don’t know where is the best to buy it, presliced and packaged or have it sliced fresh at the deli and have them do it thick? Thanks again!!! I really appreciate you answering me!

      Hi Michelle!

I bought prepackaged roast beef, but you can have the deli slice it too. Just make sure it’s thin not thick. As for the sauce, mine (as you can see are a bit soggy, but they form a bit of a crust in the heat of the oven.

      I like them like that.

      I hope this helps. :)

I don’t know what garlic pepper is, so I used garlic powder and put in some ground fresh pepper. YUMMY! These are so good. You’ve got to use a name brand worcestershire and not an off brand like a store brand because it was so much better with Lea & Perrins. I added salt to the roast beef, but other than that, no other modifications. SO GOOD
