At home Shamrock Shake

make your own shamrock shake - NoBiggie.net

Why wait for Mickey D’s shamrock shake to pop up once a year, when you can make your own at home for cheap!

To make the cute paper shamrock shake stir stick, all you need is a heart shaped craft punch, green glitter paper and a wooden skewer. Just punch out three to six little paper hearts and make a stem using scissors. With glue dots, just stick them onto the wood skewer, you can make this double sided with six hearts too if you’d like.

This would make for a fun after school snack on St. Patrick’s Day.

Here’s the recipe:

Shamrock Shake
3 cups vanilla ice cream
1 cup whole milk
¼ teaspoon peppermint extract
10 drops green food coloring

OR…you can skip the recipe above and just to buy your favorite Mint Chocolate Chip Ice cream and mix it up with milk. Then you wouldn’t have to mess with food coloring at all. Either way you decide to go, you can’t go wrong. Don’t forget to top it with whipped cream (you know…from a can), if you want it to be just like the shamrock shake from McDonalds.

the mint chip would actually turn the shake a bit brownish, mostly because of the chips, but still a much easier way than using the food coloring! I LOVE ice cream,I mean really LOVE IT! I’m totally making a green shake for St. Patty’s day.
