St. George Parade of Homes 2012
Last month we escaped the cold and headed down to St. George for a weekend. Kyle signed up for the Century Ride – 100 miles on his bike! Crazy! He did it, and he wants to do another one. More Crazy! 🙂
While Kyle was bustin’ his butt riding his bike up hill both ways, I was leisurely parading the St. George Parade of Homes with two of our good friends. Here’s a little montage of all the home ideas that I loved from the 2012 St. George Parade of Homes via my iPhone camera.
Lots of fun things to see! I love getting ideas for our “someday home”.
We owe a big thanks to our sweet friends Eric and Amy for a fun weekend away and to Kyle’s buddy Greg who kept him company for all 100 miles, and to Kyle’s sweet parents who watched the kids so we could escape for the weekend.

Ok, that vanishing edge pool is AWESOME. I wish I had an eye for neat interior decor.

Love that pool! Now I just have to find a house on a hill. And have an extra pile of money sitting around.
That clear fridge door, though, is pretty much my worst nightmare. Who doesn’t want to see all my moldy leftovers?
P.S. yes, my bloggy name is a-changin’. I posted about it if you’re curious.

I am still so amazed that Kyle did that. I love those ceilings in the bathrooms, so cool!

I went to the Parade of Homes too! I’m bummed if we were there at the same time and didn’t know it! How fun that you got to enjoy the weekend without kids. A quick getaway like that makes a world of difference!!

Wasn’t the Parade great this year? I was pleasantly surprised.
That wallpapered ceiling and 3form backsplash were two of my favorite things.
Thanks for the fun re-cap!

Dear Kami,
It sounds like the two of you needed a small vacation with just the two of you. It is great that you both were able to do what you both like individually. Sometimes you need time to be just a couple but then you also need to be without your partner to refocus and become more centered. Sounds like a great weekend style trip. There are times I get my daughter to spend the night at grandma’s so that we can spend the time alone and sometimes I do this when I know he is working late so that I can just be alone. Now we just need to replace the bathtub so that I can soak on those nights!

We adore St. George, I want to know where you go out to eat though. We don’t find the best places!
Kami says
We love Don Pedros for old school mexican (it’s in Green Valley area), Texas Road house, Jimmy Johns sandwiches. That is what we ate on our last trip.

Woot woot! Way to go Kyle! And Kami….that’s exactly what I’d be doing if Brian was off riding 100 miles. 🙂
