2012 – 4th of July in pictures.
Hi friends! I hope you all had a great 4th of July. We had such a nice holiday spent with friends and family. I’ve been a bit MIA here on the blog, but you can always find me on Instagram (@nobiggie), I’ve fallen hard. Here’s a quick photo recap of my favorite holiday:
On Tuesday, a fire started in Alpine UT, not very far from us. It was so eery to see this giant cloud of smoke over the mountain. We’ve had such a dry season so far this summer, that we are continually praying for rain. We DID get rain on Thursday. It was a total answer to prayer. I don’t think it put this fire out completely, but it helped for sure.
As always, I love my festive treats.
Tuesday night we had our neighborhood BBQ and kid bike parade. I love this tradition. It’s such a fun time to catch up with our neighbors that we don’t get to see that often. Afterwards, they normally have a firework show, but this year they didn’t. I loved that they didn’t with how dry everything is.
Here’s Avery with her bff’s. These three are together non-stop!
We got to break out the 8 dollar light-up mug! Yee-haw! 🙂
Have I ever mentioned we love where we live? We love our friends and neighbors.
Early on the 4th we went to the Balloon Festival. We go every year. For a non-morning person, I love this tradition.
Avery with her cousins.
Aiden with his little cousin Blake.
Kyle holding Aiden. Aiden freaked out a bit when he saw the fire go into the balloons. You would think this was his first year to the balloon festival, or something. 🙂
My favorite is the giant coke bottle. It’s huge!
While the kids watch the parade, I watch them. 🙂
Before and After the cannon went off. (poor little buddy)
Other than all the loud noises (which was a lot) this little guy was in heaven!
Our little family waiting for the Stadium of Fire fireworks to start.
Here’s a fun look back at all the 4th of July blog posts I’ve shared here:

As always thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Looks like such a fun 4th Kami! We are in St. George and saw that fire on the news. CRAZY how dry Utah is this year. I’m glad it wasn’t too close to you!
Cute kids on their bikes. 🙂
Thanks Erin!
I hope you all had a nice 4th of July! 🙂
Great relaxing week. Having the 4th in the middle is FUN!
I love having the 4th of July mid week! It’s the best!
So jealous of your fun neighborhood party. We used to do that before everyone moved out and now have all renters who keep to themselves. Boo.
AND I love love love that last picture of you, Kami. So beautiful. So relaxed. So happy with your family!
4 more days. xoxo
Yippee! 🙂
