  • 1/2  cup butter room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup M&M chocolate candies
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Cream the butter and sugar together well for 1-2 minutes until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the peanut butter and mix well.

  4. Add egg and vanilla and mix again.

  5. In a separate bowl stir together the flour, oats, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix a little bit longer to combine.

  7. Stir in the chocolate chips and M&M’s.

  8. Using a cookie scoop place on parchment lined sheet pan.

  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes, or a little longer if you make each cookie dough ball larger than a 1 inch cookie scoop. Try not to over bake.

  10. Remove them from the oven and allow to cool completely on the sheet pan.

Recipe Notes

We used salted butter for this recipe. If using unsalted butter, adjust the salt measurement to 1/2 teaspoon.
