The perfect fancy vegetable side dish. Crispy bacon and steamed asparagus come together for a delicious combination.
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
Divide the asparagus stalks into 4 bundles. Tightly wrap one slice of bacon around each bundle.
In a small bowl mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, brown sugar and pepper.
Arrange the asparagus bundles on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and drizzle the butter mixture over the top of the bacon.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy. Serve warm, sprinkled with parsley if desired.
*If you prefer more crispy bacon, you can pre-bake the bacon in the oven before adding the asparagus. Just make sure to form each slice of bacon into a round loop so that it cooks into the shape you need it to be when you go to add the asparagus.
