Nothing beats old fasioned classic peach cobbler, it's a must when peaches are in season.
Cook the peaches on medium high heat in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves and the juices from the peaches come out. Remove from the heat and set aside.
Slice the butter into slabs and place into a 9x13in. dish. Place the baking dish with the butter into the oven while the oven preheats. Let the butter melt in the oven. As soon as the butter is melted, take the pan out of the oven.
If using canned or bottled peaches, skip step two and three.
