Easy Asian chicken lettuce wraps

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 medium onion finely diced
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha optional
  • 1 8oz. can water chestnuts drained and diced
  • 2 green onions diced
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 head butter lettuce
  1. In a saucepan over medium high heat add the olive oil and ground chicken and cook until the chicken is browned and crumbled, about 3-5 minutes. Drain any excess grease.

  2. Add in the diced onion and cook until the onions have become translucent, about 1-2 minutes.

  3. Stir in the garlic, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger and Sriracha hot sauce.

  4. Stir in chestnuts and green onions until tender, about 1-2 minutes; season with salt and pepper, to taste.

  5. To serve, spoon several tablespoons of the Asian chicken mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf and enjoy!
