Million Dollar Baked Spaghetti

The ultimate baked spaghetti loaded with spaghetti, sauce and the most decadent cream cheese + cheese layer.

  • 1 pound spaghetti cooked to al dente and drained
  • 1 pound ground beef (or sausage)
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic minced minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 cups Marinara Sauce
  • 1 8oz. block cream cheese softened
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese grated (divided)
  • Flat Leaf Italian parsley minced (optional garnish)
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large skillet set to medium high heat add the ground beef, onions, garlic, salt and pepper into the pan. Brown the ground beef.

  3. When the beef is browned, turn off the heat, drain and remove the liquid left in the pan and mix in one cup of the marinara sauce.

  4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the remaining 5 cups of marinara sauce. Toss the spaghetti in the sauce to coat the spaghetti in the sauce.
  5. Mix together the cream cheese and 2 cups of mozzarella cheese in a bowl.

  6. In this order, layer it all into the pan: Add half of the spaghetti with sauce to the bottom of a 9x13 pan.

  7. Add the cream cheese mixture. Add the remaining spaghetti and sauce mixture.
  8. Add the meat sauce mixture on top of the spaghetti. Finally top with the remaining cup of mozzarella cheese.
  9. Cover with foil and bake forĀ 30 minutes.

  10. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes to melt the cheese on top.
  11. Out of the oven let it sit for 10 minutes to make it easy to cut into squares for serving.

Recipe Notes

If planning to freeze, cover with foil add it to the freezer right before you would bake it in the oven.
