Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
Wash the sweet potatoes, then pat dry.
Cut small slits in the skin of the sweet potato using a small paring knife.
Rub the outside of the potato with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
Place the sweet potatoes on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 50 minutes or until you can easily insert a fork in the potato. Let the sweet potatoes sit for 5 minutes before serving.
