Mexican Seven Layer Dip

Mexican Seven Layer Dip is always a favorite at every get together. You really can customize it to your preference.

Ingredients
  • 1 16oz. can refried beans
  • 1 16oz. container sour cream
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade taco seasoning)
  • guacamole
  • homemade salsa
  • 1 package cheddar cheese or Mexican Cheese Blend grated
  • 1 package cherry or grape tomatoes quartered
  • 1 can black olives sliced
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro chopped
  • 1/4 jar pickled jalapeƱos
  • 2 stalks green onions (use mostly the white ends) minced
Instructions
  1. Layer #1: Open the can of refried beans and spread them in a thin layer on the bottom of your dish or dishes or plastic cups if you are making single serve 7 layer dip.

  2. Layer #2: Open a container of sour cream. Give it a stir. Stir in a packet of taco seasoning or a homemade taco seasoning. Spread a layer of the seasoned sour cream onto the refried bean layer.

  3. Layer #3: Spread a layer of guacamole onto the sour cream layer.

  4. Layer #4: Spread a layer of salsa onto the guacamole layer.

  5. Layer #5: Add the grated cheddar cheese or grated Mexican blend cheese.

  6. Layer #6: Add quartered cherry tomatoes.

  7. Layer: #7 Add sliced olives.

  8. Layer #8: Add chopped cilantro, sliced pickled jalapeƱos and or minced green onion.

  9. Cover with plastic wrap and keep cold in the fridge until ready to serve. Serve with tortilla chips.
