Double Chocolate Cherry Cookies

Chocolate cookies with a delicious cherry flavor, dried cherries and white chocolate chips.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 3 tsp cherry extract
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 12oz. bag white chocolate chips
  • 1 5oz. bag dried cherries, coarsely chopped
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together. Add one egg at a time into the sugar butter mixture. Next, add cocoa powder, sour cream, and cherry extract and mix until well combined.

  3. Mix all the dry ingredients together in a medium sized bowl. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined. Fold in the white chocolate chips and dried cherries.

  4. Roll 1 tbsp. of cookie dough into a ball and place onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. While one sheet of cookies is baking, store the remaining cookie dough in the fridge. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool completely.
