Swiss Cheese Broccoli Cauliflower Bake

A gourmet way to serve up steamed broccoli and cauliflower. A Swiss cheese mixture melts over the top of the freshly steamed florets. We love this side dish!

For the Vegetables:

  • 1 lb. broccoli cut into florets
  • 1 lb. cauliflower cut into florets

For the Swiss Cheese Mixture:

  • 1 cup Swiss cheese grated
  • 1/2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup mayo
  • 2 tablespoons green onion chopped fine
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

For the Swiss Cheese Mixture:

  1. In a medium glass bowl, mix all ingredients together to create a paste. 

For the vegetables:

  1. In a large pot with a steam basket insert, steam both the cauliflower and broccoli florets for a short time. Avoid over cooking at this time.

  2. In a 9x13 dish spread out the steamed vegetables. Spread the cheese mixture over the top of broccoli and cauliflower florets.

  3. Bake for 30 minutes until the cheese melts and starts to brown a little. Serve warm.
