Homemade Salsa

Homemade salsa is a must especially with tomatoes fresh from the garden. Using your blender makes this salsa recipe quick and easy.

  • 2 16oz. cans stewed tomatoes you can substitute 1/2 fresh if available
  • 1 4oz. can chopped green chiles
  • 1 garlic clove minced (one 1/2 teaspoon)
  • 1 jalapeƱo pepper chopped and seeded
  • 1 bunch cilantro chopped, add as much as you like
  • 4 green onions chopped
  • 1/2 lime juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  1. Add all ingredients into a blender and blend to your preference. Serve with your favorite chips. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

For a thicker salsa remove 1/2 cup of the juice from the canned tomatoes before combining all the ingredients. Diced fresh tomatoes will work in this recipe too.
