Ritz Cracker Chicken

A crispy and buttery chicken recipe with simple ingredients your family will love.

  • 4 skinless boneless chicken breast
  • 1-2 sleeves Ritz crackers* crushed
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter cubed
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 cups cheddar cheese optional


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  2. Spray a 9x13 pan with non stick cooking spray.

  3. Set up 2-3 shallow dishes: one with the crushed Ritz crackers and Italian seasoning. One with eggs, milk, salt and pepper and the last for the grated cheese (if your are using cheese).

  4. Pound each chicken breast flat for even baking...or cut into chicken strips.

  5. Dip each chicken piece into the egg mixture, then cheese (if you are using cheese) and then the Ritz cracker crumbs.

  6. Place each piece of chicken onto the baking sheet or pan.

  7. Arrange the cubed butter around all the chicken. 

  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken has reached 165 degrees internally. 

Recipe Notes

We used "Everything Bagel" flavored Ritz crackers. You can use any flavor you like but the original Ritz crackers are preferred. 

For easy clean up you can line the 9x13 pan with foil and spray with the non stick cooking spray.
