Hawaiian Breakfast Sausage

Ingredients
  • 1 pound sausage links
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
Instructions
  1. Brown the sausage links. Once they are browned on all sides, move the links to a paper towel lined plate to soak up any excess grease. With a different paper towel, blot out any excess grease out of the pan.

  2. In the same pan bring the brown sugar and undrained crushed pineapple to a boil. Quickly turn the heat to low as it can scorch easily.

  3. Add the links back into the sauce. Simmer the sausage and pineapple mixture together and toss the links around as the pineapple liquid evaporates.

  4. If needed, this can be done the night before and then SLOWLY warm it back up the next morning. Serve warm.
