Soft melt in your mouth banana bread bars with a sweet butter cream frosting.
In a large saucepan, heat butter over medium heat until boiling. Allow the butter to turn a golden brown color, then remove from heat immediately.
The frosting will be thicker than a glaze. To help smooth the frosting over the bars, use a small cookie scoop, and scoop the frosting all over the top of the bars. Place the sheet pan back into the warm oven (which has now been turned off, but still warm from baking). This allows the frosting to melt slightly, making it easier to spread over the bars.
