My girl started the 2nd Grade on Monday.
Usually I hate this time of year because it means the end to my most favorite-est season: SUMMER! Not this year, and I’m not exactly sure why, except for the fact that I think we were all ready to have more of a schedule to our days.
Her first day went well…she only called me twice! The first time to tell me who she wanted to play with after school, and the second time she called to tell me that she pulled out her ‘other’ front tooth – which is definitely worthy of a call. The first call…uh, not so much.
Here she is on the first day of second grade:
and here she is on the second day of Second Grade: minus a tooth and plus a goofy giant green homemade flower headband made by her mom (because I’m crafty like that…).
ps. I’m sharing the HOW-TO on Speech Bubble Chalkboards over at Make and Takes today (like the one in the pic up top). It’s crazy how easy they are to make. It makes me want to cover a whole wall with them…wouldn’t that be fun?!
