Seasons Greetings Friends and Family! Here’s a quick look back…2015 a year in review – it was a great year for our family. Sometimes no news is good news. We’re just happy to be surrounded with our loved ones…making memories together.
In January: Kami went on a Caribbean Cruise with blog friends, Avery got braces and had her first and last friend sleepover!
In February: we decorated our Valentine’s Day boxes (courtesy of Michael’s Craft store), Aiden had his 1st Grade Patriotic Program at school, Avery had a dance competition and our Aunt Bree (Kyle’s sister) came to town.
In March: Kyle and I attended our favorite charity auction: The Chocolate Extravaganza (which raises funds for the Utah Valley NICU). LDS Women’s Conference with Kyle’s side girls. We always think of our sweet dog Rukkus when we drive by the place he died. …and Tubbs ate all our pillows. Yay!
In April: Easter! Just another mom forcing her family to take Spring Time pictures.
In May: Kyle and I went on a cruise to Alaska with his work. We were probably the youngest people on the ship, something about a cold weather cruise attracts an older crowd, but we loved it. It was fun to see a beautiful part of the country. It was especially fun coming home to these cute faces…(a big thanks to our mom’s for tending them for us.)
In June: Avery graduated from the sixth grade (Elementary School)! We love Summer!…and Sun…and all things hot.
In July: The 4th of July, Baby! Balloon Festivals, teeth falling out (Aiden) and hot sunny days at the Pool.
In August: We took a family trip to St. George with my side. Beautiful hikes and Aiden’s favorite: getting up close and personal with black hawk helicopters (thanks to the cool service men who fly them for letting us get a close look). Also…the kids went Back To School: second Grade for Aiden and 7th Grade for Avery (Jr. High!). With the kids back in school, this leaves plenty of time for work…aka selfies with Tubbs.
In September: Avery is doing cheer this year, and loving it. We’ve been enjoying the new illustrated Harry Potter Book. Plus Tubbs really likes Kyle…not sure if the feeling is mutual.
In October: Oh how we love October…pumpkin carving…the beauty of Fall and Halloween!
In November: Kyle turned 40!! He is currently 40 miles short of hitting 5,000 on his road bike…but I think he’s going to meet his goal. He participated in the Salt to Saint Relay again this year with his buddies. We also celebrated our little Afton’s birthday. It’s hard to believe it’s been 4 years since she was born. Tubbs is fluffy…and cute…and I can’t get enough of him…even though he’s a naughty little stinker.
In December: Christmas Jammies with my side…and Kyle’s side…and the Elf on the Shelf. We pretty much dig all the traditions in December.
We wish you all the best of this wonderful Holiday Season with lots of quality family time filled with the Christmas Spirit in your homes. So thankful for the birth of our Savior…he is the gift. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
