Thrifty Thurs. – Orange!

Orange! Orange is like totally the new black…I mean brown. ;)
While in St. George, I had to swing by the D.I. to check things out. This chair was $15 buckaroos and it’s comfortable too! While checking out, two people complimented it saying “Nice Find!” One tried to trade for a lamp he had in hand (sorry, buddy). I love when that happens, it makes you feel like you scored.

and this embroidered wall hanging?! uh…I dunno. All I was thinking when I bought it, was that it had the word vintage all over it; and vintage stuff sells. It actually goes really well with the chair. Who knows, maybe it will be listed in my “someday” ETSY shop or on an ebay near you. ;)

I love the chair! And maybe all the picture needs is a different colored frame?

My daughter is getting married in July and they picked orange for their color. In April, I'm throwing an orange themed bridal shower for her. My hubby has gone on the hunt for cute orange prizes and he said he thinks he'll be sick if he sees one more orange thing after this wedding! LOL! It has been fun!

Love your chair…it does look comfy!

Would you believe I lived in St. George my whole life and have NEVER been to the DI. My sister loves to find a good thrifty deal but it never sounded appealing to me. I think I need to go shopping with you. You make thrifting look so fun!

Great chair. But I love that embroidery even more! I'm sure you've got something on the brain for repurposing that thing. New frame? I can't wait to see the post and what you do with it!!

Okay, I have an idea. I too have got a large vintage chicken embroidered frame from my grandma. Let's get together next week and repurpose them! I've needed help in what to do with it, it's crazy ugly, but it's my gma's and I love chickens!

What do you say? I need your skills!
