This is a widgeted area which is called Featured Bottom Left. It is using the Genesis - Featured Posts widget to display what you see on the Family Tree child theme demo site. To get started, log into your WordPress dashboard, and then go to the Appearance > Widgets screen. There you can drag the Genesis - Featured Posts widget into the Featured Bottom widget area on the right hand side. To get the image to display, simply upload an image through the media uploader on the edit page screen and publish your page. The Featured Posts widget will know to display the post image as long as you select that option in the widget interface.
That is a great idea. I love clips boards but never have a place for them because they are hard to store. You are always so organized.
What I truly love are those fab pics of your adorable family! Precious!!
cami, you are one talented girl. i love this idea. i have the perfect wall for them. i have been looking for a way for each of my children to have a spot . know i know what to do. oh and so thrifty too. thanks for always sharing.
Your house is SO home-y. For those that don't know, every time I have been over with Kyle she says something like "I'm so embarrassed, I need to pick up." This usually entails putting the ONE stray dish from the sink into the dishwasher and having Avery pick up the one toy in the living room.
You have such a beautiful, organized and extremely comfortable home.
GREAT idea!
I love your clipboards – they are so great! How cute Kami!
XOXO

Look at you and all of your cuteness! Love that idea.
I love the idea of having a clipboard for each kid and all the stuff they need for the week (notes/homework/lunch$). I may have to steal that one.
p.s. the Martha craft page where you make pumpkin and kitty faces out of fanned paper I did with my Brownie troop and it turned out way cute!
I love this idea too! I have the clipboards on my dinning room table right now, I was just looking for some cute hooks to hang them with.
Did you just use a good ole nail?
You are way too put together!
Okay I have to ask where you got those pictures on the wall printed? are they canvas wraps.. I want to do something similar once we move.. So cute.
Hi! I just wanted to say I love your blog. I am so glad you posted this! It is a great Idea! I also want to know about the awesome family pictures on the wall. I have been searching and searching on how to do these! Will you please share the details? I have a huge bare wall calling your name! Thanks so much!

Stop it!! I LOVE all of your great ideas!! Please come live at my house!
A little off topic but I L.O.V.E that photo wall behind your clipboards!! Can you post how you did that? It's very unique. Thanks!
Hey I LOVE this post and was really inspired to do the same in my house. I did tweak it a little bit since I had a bunch of clothespins lying around so I used those instead! This is the perfect way to get all those magazine clippings and papers off my desk. I have been looking for a solution for so long…..Thank you for the brilliant idea!
I posted some photos here: http://lonelypaper-designs.blogspot.com/2011/08/clothespins-who-knew.html
