String cheese snowmen

Make them for a Frozen birthday party or a winter snack for school or for home.

Here’s a simple idea that’s too cute not to share: string cheese snowmen. So many creative snack ideas for kids involve sugar, so I was thrilled to find these as an alternative. Perfect for a craft at a school party plus they’re edible so the kids will love it even more. I have searched high and low for the original source for this fun idea with no luck. This is not my original idea, but I had to share the cuteness with you.

All you need to make string cheese snowmen:

-one pack of string cheese
-Sharpies: orange and black
-a spool of ribbon to make the scarves
-12×12 piece of black card stock for the top hat

For the top hat, I used an old cutting die from a snowman kit from Lifestyle Crafts, but you could easily just cut out little square top hats.

hi ! What do you use to adhere the hats?

  3. I love this! And not just for kids – I would bring these to work. We have LOTS of “food days”. Lots.
This would be something cute and snacky – without being too, shall we say, diet breaking.

  4. Anyone nervous that the Sharpie will bleed through the plastic to the cheese?

  5. Very cute! My daughter’s Christmas party at her preschool is tomorrow and I would love to make these. Since I know my daughter and her classmates will really enjoy these! However I don’t have a glue gun do you think regular glue would work instead?

  6. Sure! Or glue dots.
