A carnival is such a great way to raise money for a school. We had a blast at ours at the end of last month. I loved taking note of all the different booths they had there, just in case we ever end up doing a carnival birthday party some year (after all, I need an excuse to have my very own cotton candy machine!)
Here's a list of all the booths they had that night:
Lollipop Tree
Cotton Candy
Tic Tac Toe
Putting Green
Duck Pond
Treasure Chest
Baseball Throw
3 Hoop Basketball
Face Painting
Fishing
Nail Decorating
Hair Mania
Milk Jugs
Tractor Train Ride
Balloon Dart
Speed Pitch
Cake Walk
Blow-up Slides galore!

Welcome Fall
The autumn colors in the mountains right now are amazing! We invited the Cloves up with us to Sundance to ride the ski lift just to take it all in.

What a way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I hope to make this a tradition every fall.

The Killers: point and shoot

with your camera, of course.
I loved having my point and shoot with me at the Killers show this Saturday night. Not only to capture Mr. Flowers rockin' out in his skinny jeans, but to capture the crowd doing the exact same thing I was; documenting his every move.
Once again, we joined the Cloves for what I like to call "A Killer Clove Weekend". We always have a blast with these two: Mindi and The RBC.
It was fun to compare the two set lists from the this show next to the show in Vegas.
Two of my sibs (Beck & T-Bob), along with their friends Lynette and Jen, joined us in the hot, stinky crowd. I loved having them there, it made for a fun night.
Probably my favorite part of the night was when we were showered with confetti, I loved it!
That Brandon Flowers sure puts on a good show. On a scale from 1 to 10, he is skinny.

Say Hello To First Grade

And goodbye to summer.

I'm really not ready to do either. I think I was more anxious about the first day than she was. Truth be told the first day didn't go very well, she got hit in the ear with a swing at recess, and I ended up taking her to the doctor only to find that she also had an ear infection. But we are now medicated and ready for DAY 2.
Wish us luck!

a Tiffany Sandwich

...way better than a PB & J.
Especially when you throw in 8 diet cokes with lime, 27 pictures, a big bowl of salted edamame and five hours with two of my favorite dailies: Mindi and Tiffany. I love these two!
Thanks Ladies for a fabulous night! ...and to think if this night hadn't happened, these two never would have known about Michael Jackson or how to pronounce pseudo correctly.
You betcha, girls.

The Beach....ahhhh

If I could go back right now and relive any one day of this trip, it would be our day at the beach. I wish we had more time to just sit. and take it in.

I didn't want to bother anyone to take our picture, er I mean pictures...let's be honest here (I like options). So I brought the good old tripod and remote.

Game Nights
The last two nights of our trip, were both gaming nights. One was at the ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney and the second night was bowling.
The music was pumpin' at the bowling lanes making it more of a dance party for me. The song Disturbia by Rihanna came on and Avery's little friend Morgan looked at me and said I love this song "Bom Bom Bee Dom". (funny) I loved it!
I will now forever call Disturbia - "Bom Bom Bee Dom".

Angels v. Dodgers Game

One of the nights, we all went to an Angels v. Dodgers game. Avery had way too much fun running all around with little Morgan.
Outside of the Angels stadium is a huge memorial made by all the fans for Nick Adenhart. It is crazy to see in person.
Kyle was definitely in his element that night. Baseball is his game.
As for me, I was in my element...eating and photographing peanuts and crackerjacks. ;)
Sailing with the Cliffords

The parents of Kyle's best childhood friend (Patrick Clifford) took us sailing on their beautiful yacht "the Mardi Gras" while we were in Dana Point. Steve is getting ready for a race from San Diego to Hawaii with a bunch of other sailing friends, what a way to retire. Have a safe voyage Steve! Thanks again for a fun afternoon!

A Killer Weekend

I wish I could go back and redo this last weekend...particularly last Friday night. It was that much fun. We saw the Killers in concert at The Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas with my girl Mindi and her man aka "The RBC" (Yay...I finally got to meet the Russ-cat himself!) What a fun show, we loved it!
The Word To Your Mothers & The No Biggies (aka the Tans and the Not-So Tans)
I cannot say enough good things about these two. Infact, if you search this blog...key word Mindi, you will see all the love...the linkety love. The concert was great (duh), but it was the company we kept that made this weekend unforgettable (double duh). You haven't rocked until you've rocked with Mindi!
Brandon Flowers is a Total Rockstar! What a Stud!

We are such posers.

It was so nice to getaway just the two of us(thank you Mom for tending). You gotta love a little road trip, it's good for the soul...just makes you want to break into song.
"I got Soul, but I'm not a Soldier". ;)

W is For...
Last Thursday, I was thrilled to be able to join my big sis Beck, my good friend Laurie and her darling daughter Carlie to see the matinee show of Wicked. My Sister Shauna last minute decided to take off with her family over Spring Break, so she sold her ticket to me. Thank you, Shaun! I loved it! It was FANTASTIC!
The music is my favorite part of this show. Since the show, I can't get enough of these three songs: For Good, Popular and Defying Gravity. The cast of our show, did such a great job.
My only complaint was the that the lady next to me started trimming her fingernails during the show...I KNOW!! But don't you worry, you know what I did?! ...I leaned over and I gave her "The Look". Yeah, you know the look. And then you know what I told her?! In my best low-mean-what-the-heck-do-you-think-you're-doing-lady voice I said..."HEY". Yeah, I told her. Thankfully she stopped.
Seriously, people...C'MON already!
Anywho...I loved the show and would see it again right now if I could.

Our Memorial Weekend
We had a nice memorial weekend.
We were able to spend time with our good friends Chris and Lisa and their baby Shiloh, and see their new home that they have just remodeled. They have done such a great job! After dinner, we went to a yummy Bakery downtown.
We went to my grandpa's grave and got to be with family for a bit, until it started to rain.
At the end of a cold rainy day yesterday, we saw a rainbow. It was a good ending to a long weekend.
