Pumpkins 2009
Our pumpkins this year:
Avery's is the biggest (and she's thrilled about it)
Aiden's is the smallest (because he is)
Kyle's is the coolest (it's official name is "one too many", because it looks like blood shot eyes)
Mine... well it's the ugliest (the spookier the better)

I can't get over the baby cuteness of Aiden last year at this time: the double chin, the new baby hair falling out, all of it. It all goes so fast.
Have a great weekend!
About one week until Halloween...were did October go?!

It's all about the word play

I still have my first "seasonal" given to me by my friend Jen, back in college. It starts out reading F-A-L-L and then we flip it around to read B-O-O-!. And then it turns into a game of word warp.
Any words that I missed?
LOL! is my favorite, mostly because I love to LOL... IRL. or at least when I'm texting.![]()

Welcome Fall
The autumn colors in the mountains right now are amazing! We invited the Cloves up with us to Sundance to ride the ski lift just to take it all in.

What a way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I hope to make this a tradition every fall.

I'm Buggin'...
Cuttlebuggin'!
I really am trying to avoid sounding too TAMN-ish in this post. So I apologize about the title...it was the best I got. For a non-scrapbooker, you would think that I wouldn't be as into this thing called the Cuttlebug as I am. It's just that it's too fun!
Because not only does it cut shapes...it embosses them too! Can you tell I like it?! (I'm really trying to limit my exclamation points, but it's just too hard.)
The possibilities are endless.
From banner making
to place card setting.

Oh the fun to be had when you're buggin'... Cuttlebuggin'. ;)
You can check out all the possibilities, right here. I mean right Here!! ;)

I have a thing for Candy Corn...

but not actual candy corn, those are gross (they are right up there with Circus Peanuts...eww). I mostly just love the colors of candy corn, and how they make me think of this time of year with Autumn and Halloween. Ever since we drove past the cute little store Fancy Flours in Bozeman, MT (where I also got the idea for this), I have wanted one of these but since they were all sold out, I had to get creative. So what's the next best thing to giant Candy Corn Cookies? Giant Candy Corn Krispies, of course. Plus they were a lot easier to make...no baking. I used Almond bark for the top coat. I love rice krispie treats for kids, because they are crumb free.
ps. For the frosting, I bought one pkg of White Almond Bark and divided it into three (with a little more for the orange color). I chopped up each section so it would melt quicker in the microwave. Then mixed in the food coloring. I started with orange to make sure that I had enough. I made two batches of Rice Krispie Treats, and one pkg of Almond Bark was enough to cover all of them.

Pumpkins for the Punkins

Last week, I took our two 'punkins' to pick out their pumpkins. I knew that snow was coming our way and I didn't know how much longer this fall air would be around. Avery was thrilled to pick out her own pumpkin and I was thrilled to have an excuse to put Aiden in his little fall sweater...oh, and matching socks. ;)
