ready to escape Winter…

Every year around this time, I get the bug…the bug to leave this antarctic state and head some place warm. Who’s with me?! Yesterday was beautiful here, but fa-reezing! The wind chill had a bite to it.

I’ve been daydreaming of our trip to sunny Orlando, Florida and wishing we had plans to visit right now. I mean, c’mon, how fun is this picture of our kids pulling their little luggage in flip flops excited for a fun and ‘warm’ trip together as a family?!

Where we fell in love with all things Harry Potter including Frozen Butter Beer and had to try to figure out how to make it at home.

All this daydreaming was started when I saw these fun pictures of the newest Universal hotel to open up. It’s called Cabana Bay, and it looks so fun! The rooms are such a fun throw back to the 1950s and 60s!

They just announced that they are taking reservations now for it’s grand opening early 2014. It will be walking distance from both Universal theme parks. After staying onsite near both Universal Parks, and eating the most amazing nachos pool side, I’m sure this new hotel will be so awesome! You can read more about Universal’s Cabana Bay Hotel here, and make exciting plans for next year when you are needing a break from the cold. Rumor has it the pool at this hotel will top them all.

I really have been trying hard to embrace Winter this year, and all of it’s beauty. I snapped this pic and shared it on Instagram over the weekend. As pretty as it is, a little escape would do me good! Then I can come back to embracing it all over again. :)

Since it’s not happening this winter, I better get planning for next year!

Do you try to plan a trip this time of year to escape the cold?
