Quick Tip: A Photography Tip

Sunday Evening was beautiful. I could have laid on the grass and watched the clouds for hours. I just wanted to take it all in and remember what a beautiful day it was, and what a fun weekend we had just had with family. I wished I had had my nice camera with me to capture my two swinging together in their Grandma’s backyard. But I didn’t have it with me, so I just snapped a few with my phone.

The first few I just took looking straight on at them swinging together,

and then I laid down on my back and took a few looking up at them. What a difference it made. I love how it captured their silhouettes.

So for the Quick Tip: when it comes to photography (and the little I’ve learned), no matter what kind of camera you have or are using, look at your subject from a new angle. You’ll be surprised at what a difference it makes. One of my favorite angles to shoot from is down low, looking up. Like I did for this picture.

Those pictures are so beautiful. I love the second one with the sillhouette of your daughter's skinny little girl hand. Love it. Thanks for the tip, can't wait to try it.

I think it is so nice how much those two love each other. When I dropped him off at Becky's the other day, he looked around and said, "Av-ee? Av-ee?"

Yes, great tip! I love laying on the ground and taking pictures of the kids jumping on the trampoline. It really makes them seem like they are jumping high!
