Quick Tip: Clean Your Blender

Today’s quick tip: Clean your Blender with a Buzz: After you use your blender, rinse it out and then fill it about 1/3 full of hot water and a squirt of dishsoap. Then run it for a few minutes, and the hot soapy water bubbles up to clean the whole thing, plus it gets the blades cleaner than a trip through the dishwasher will. Then, pour out the soapy water all over the lid (in the sink) and now that’s clean too.

This Quick Tip is brought to you by the lovely Tiffany of The Would-Be Writers Guild. Tiffany has been one of my BBB’s (best blog buddies) from the start. She’s an awesome writer with a gift to make you laugh. She shared this quick tip with me last week, and it’s a good one, Thanks Tiff!

If you’d like the recipe for our favorite protein shake that we blended up for breakfast; I’m sharing it today over on Eat Blog Run. It’s always fun to talk about my #1… Eat! (sorry blog and run).

OH, I'm laughing so hard right now. Maybe early in the morning before the kiddos wake up isn't the best time for me to catch up on my blog reading. I looked at your post title once, did a double take, and had to look again, nervously. My sleepy eyes were reading it, "Clean Your Bladder." I'm so glad that wasn't your quick tip!

That first comment is priceless! Incidentally, a little squirt of dishsoap and some hot water (and some rubber tubing) will also help you clean your bladder. It's really not that different!

That's the same thing I do to clean my blender. Love it! I also use that to clean my kids' mouths out with soap. (We don't really use soap–hot sauce seems to do the trick better! LOL) Off to check out your protein shake recipe. Yum!

I found your blog through The Mother Huddle – it is so much fun and I love all the stuff you do with the kids =)
I love this tip… I used to do this, then totally forgot about it and have been washing it out in the sink – its such a pain if you don't wash it out straight away…so thanks for the helpful reminder (can the next one be about improving your memory?!!)

I do that with my blender. I love how it gets it so clean. I am so jealous that you have a Magic Bullet. Do you love it I wanted one for Christmas, but alas…

I don't even own a blender! I know. Crazy. But if I ever do get one and actually use it, that is how I'll clean it. :)
