This is a widgeted area which is called Featured Bottom Left. It is using the Genesis - Featured Posts widget to display what you see on the Family Tree child theme demo site. To get started, log into your WordPress dashboard, and then go to the Appearance > Widgets screen. There you can drag the Genesis - Featured Posts widget into the Featured Bottom widget area on the right hand side. To get the image to display, simply upload an image through the media uploader on the edit page screen and publish your page. The Featured Posts widget will know to display the post image as long as you select that option in the widget interface.

@ catie & molly – A few bloggers actually had links to join automatically, a while back, I can't remember who right now but maybe you could google it. Also someone who is already a member can send your email and get you on immediately. I did that for some of my friends.
haha! I haven't started on Pinterest yet. I know it will suck up all my time and I need to work/create right now. Maybe someday. I know I will LOVE it.

Argggggh! I think I was one of those that received the invite months ago at which time I signed up but it was too overwhelming at the time for me to try and get into it. But with Kami’s post about how it was more convenient than using a normal bookmark/favorite I was sold. However, for some reason I’m having a brain toot on getting the button (ipin) added so I can actually add items. I guess I may need a Pininterest for Dummies…lol…since I don’t know anyone else in my circle that even knows what it is!
Thanks for turning us on to Pintrest…it is so much easier than a bookmark system. Great for us visual folks
