I will always remember that special night when we got to meet Aiden and bring him home. I was nervous for two straight days not knowing what the outcome would be. We tried to stay so busy, even though I couldn’t think about anything else. I never thought I would be an adoptive mom, but it has been one of the best things for me. I was once told by a therapist – who was also an adoptive mom (that’s another story…) not to be so territorial. That really hit home for me, because I have always been so territorial. Adoption has helped so much with that. After years of infertility woes, Aiden has been a light at the end of a tunnel.
What a blessing adoption has been in all of our lives. It really is an amazing thing how it all just works out how it’s suppose to. I really feel that Aiden was meant to be in our little family.
Kyle – my home movie master put together this little video of Aiden’s first year (just like he did for Avery’s first year). We shrunk it down as much as we could to post here (from 15 minutes to 5). If 5 is still too long for you, then fast forward to the last 30 seconds to see the little man in(slow-mo)action…He’s Walking!
It’s turning out to be Aiden week here at the no biggie blog… turning one, it’s a big deal. 🙂
