A neighbor gift to love

We received this salsa mix for Christmas from our neighbors, and I loved it!

It was the perfect neighbor gift because:
1. It was edible.
2. It was edible with out all the guilt.
3. It was edible with the option to eat at a later time (not staring me down on my counter for a week. :) ).

Inside, there were three little packets. To make a batch of salsa with this mix,  you just have to add one 28oz. can of tomatoes and a bunch of cilantro, and it tastes great! Almost as good as homemade!

You know what I love about salsa? I love that it’s an easy way to get your kids to eat vegetables, and they will down it!

These mixes are made here in Utah, and it looks like the site is down, but I’d be happy to locate a phone number if you’d like to order some.

What was your favorite simple neighbor gift received? It’s always fun to get ideas for next year.

It may have been the bag of ice melt with the funniest darn poem attached!

Great idea! My fave gift was a plate of cookies purchased from a bakery with a really funny note attached to them. Humor gets me every time!

Oooh, I like this. My favorite neighbor gift was a fresh pineapple, an idea the neighbors "stole" from us after we gave them out last year. Yummy and healthy. This year, we gave out homemade seasoning salt in cute shakers with a tag that said, "Seasonings and Greetings." My sister gave out bottles of Sprite with a card that said, "May your Christmas be merry and SPRITE!" Who can't use some extra soda during the holidays?

I was taking note of all of my in-laws neighbor gifts they received. Most of them were chocolate. most were edible. Most were filled with guilt. I am remembering the soup (freezable), citrus, and now the salsa kits!

I love a good, fresh salsa! Yum! And, how in the world did I miss your salsa recipe. Looks like I commented but forgot about it. I'm for sure going to have to look that one up in the summer.
