Inspiration on a Date Night

Earlier this month we had a date night in downtown Salt Lake at the new City Creek Center. I snapped a few pictures of things I loved. Inspiration is all around us, and having a camera on your phone makes it so much easier to keep those images around a little longer.

Here’s some of the things that I loved seeing:

This framed peg board with the little arrow chalkboard. I will always love the look of a chalkboard, but something about all the neutrals in this pic with the pop of color of the flower is just fun.

Giant prints hung up by neon duck tape. I love the casual look of this with the duck tape and the pop of neon color. Plus I love the look of the torn edge of tape.

Tissue paper garland simply sewn up the middle. I love the look of all the layers of tissue paper sewn together. This is a simple decoration that adds color in a fun way.

This giant print on the wall in Nordstrom at City Creek. I love how the two frames continue the pattern together.

Hello Lover! Red hot Valentinos for the easy price of $900 (ouch!). How can you not be inspired by these shoes?! The color, the giant red bow, all of it! So fun!

Last but not least, we headed over to the Harmons grocery store near city creek and we saw the most beautiful little pastries. I love the little raspberry on top. It’s too cute!

Happy Weekend! Hopefully you can get out on a ‘hot date’ this weekend and be surrounded by inspiration.

Love the pictures! The tape idea is great, would be super fun in my boy’s room.

When I saw the shoes I did a double take because I have a pair of knock offs… and didn’t realize they were knock offs. Check out the Paris Hilton Senorita in Red Patent. I got mine on clearance at Marshalls/TJ Maxx for $14 and they are to die for. Kind of painful for a whole Sunday but awesome for a fancy date or a short Church meeting. :)

Loved your post about helping those dealing with a loss, lots of great tips especially from someone who has been there. Hugs to you and your family.

I love the way that you look at each other – in your first two shots. Isn’t it amazing the inspiration that comes from a new shopping center. Our local center just reopened recently and I get so excited as I approach the newest section. So much inspiration, so much fun.

Love how you find inspiration in the littlest things and then put them into words and pictures. I also look at little things and get inspiration, but putting it into words and pictures is really the icing on the cake!
