Since the passing of our sweet baby girl Afton Jean, I have fallen in love with butterflies. They hold so much symbolic meaning to me now. Whenever I see one now, I always think of her. I met Brittany the owner of Trinkets and Butterflies at a blogger event earlier this year. Our connection felt like it was meant to be…it’s actually a great story. this summer, so far, the best thing i have done is to REALLY cherish my family. make my husband feel appreciated and hug my kids every moment i felt like doing so. Its starting to show to affect them too. Last night, sitting reading while hubby watches TV and kids playing in the room: he snaps out of his zone to lift his head and simply say: I love you; thanks for all you do. I just smiled and that got me a small kiss on my cheek (and eww’s from the kids) but I got my kiss!
My favorite thing we did this summer was take the boys to Disney World! So many wonderful memories were made!!

The best thing we did this summer was camp as a family at Lake Powell. Always a summer highlight even if it is a ton of work to go camping with little kids.

The best thing I did this summer was having my family visit me in Boston for a weekend. We did so many fun things I had never even experienced living here- a cruise of Boston Harbor, a festival in the North End, a nice walk through the Public Garden, a dessert tasting, and seeing lots of the sights!

The best thing I did this summer was have my 15 year old grandson visit for 2 weeks. He is one amazing young man.
I started a new job this summer, so we’ve been vegging out in the air conditioning soaking up any spare moment we can get with our baby girl. Does that count?

This is going to sound weird, but the best thing I did this summer was to go through physical therapy for my back. It has been life changing, because now I can do a lot of things I stopped doing because my back hurt too much. I totally love my physical therapists!

Best thing: family vacation in Europe (those new PL plastics would be handy for all the maps, postcards, tickets etc. we brought home)
This year my family and I went to Disneyland/California Adventure over 40 times!

The best thing I did this summer was spend time every day (on summer vacation from teaching) with my now one year old! We also had a fabulous pool party for his birthday bash!
The absolute best thing I did this summer was plant a veggie garden. Oodles of quality time spent with my little man teaching him where the good stuff comes from and how incredible it tastes when you pull it directly from our dirt. Amazing times!

The best thing we did this summer was go “glamping”. According to my brother, that is the term used for the camping that we did, in a cabin, with air-conditioning and a refrigerator/freezer!! I don’t care what it’s called, the kids LOVED it!

Best thing this summer for me . . . My grandparents met my 9 month old son for the first time!
Best thing about this summer was seeing some out-of-town friends. First attending a party to send off one friend going to Japan to teach. Second, my short trip to Las Vegas during which another friend I had not seen in over 5 years from CA drove several hours just to meet me for dinner the last night I was there. Third, figuring out how to entertain a friend from Brazil. Quite fun!
