Yesterday, both Liz and Collin Kartchner shared the amazing video Collin made for the Kofford family.
Collin also made the most precious video for us with our little Afton. It really is such a gift. I have yet to share it here, and I’m not sure if I will, but I wanted to highlight Collin’s work and share the video he made for the Kofford family and Cooper’s Run. You might want to grab a tissue, or three.

Sweet little Cooper Kofford is buried in the same cemetery not far from where our little Afton is buried. Over the past 8 months, whenever we visit Afton’s grave, I always love to walk towards the beautiful view, to look out over the valley. Our kids are always drawn to little Cooper’s grave on our way, as it’s always decorated so sweet for every holiday.
I love this video as it highlights so much love and hope from such a heartbreaking story.
If you’re local, come join us for Cooper’s Run on July 28th. We will be there in our little Afton’s honor.

Thank you so much for sharing this on your blog with us too. The lump in my throat is big. Hope you have a wonderful peaceful July 28th participating in the run and supporting that sweet family in their own loss as well as in Afton’s memory.
OMG Kami, you are the Queen of making me cry lately. A friend of mine in Portugal lost her 2 year old son 2 weeks ago. He drowned in their swimming pool when mom went to make lunch. He was exactly 2 months younger than my son. I cannot imagine the grief that their mother (my good friend) is going through. When I first saw the pool in the video, I thought, oh no, not another drowning. Either way, the death of the child is unimaginably sad (you know…). What an amazing video. Oh the dimples on that child. Definitely a tear-jerker.
This was a total tearjerker. Their littlest boy was in Zac’s preschool class last year and I always wondered what happened to that darling, sweet boy.
What a great example to make it into something positive that helps others in need. They seem like a wonderful family and my thoughts and prayers are with their recovering hearts.
Oh man. Tissue city! What an amazing video! I wish I was there to run this weekend, I’d love to support them.
