Be My Guest: Mique of 30 Days

Welcome Mique of 30 Days blog!

Mique of 30 Days

I met Mique and her sister Jessica at The Creative Connection Event in September. They are darling sisters full of creativity. In fact, the two of them host a handmade market in Southern California called the Queen Bee Market that I sooo wish I could attend, it sounds so fun. Here’s Mique:

I am so happy to be here today- I love NoBiggie. I love Kami. Thanks for asking me to guest post cute Kami.
I adore finding and sharing ideas at 30days, all with the idea to use them on my family. Life means nothing to me without family.
Today it just so happens to be the birthday of one of my favorite, most important people in my life- my “little sister” Jessica (who’s not so little anymore….sorry Jess). Birthdays are a BIG deal in our family. She gave my oldest the best birthday present ever earlier this year.

I thought I’d share a little list with you…..
Everything I know I learned from my little sister:

Go big or go home.
Although Jess doesn’t like to be the center of attention, she does love to go all out. Halloween is her fave and she doesn’t take it lightly.

And you thought I was kidding.

It doesn’t stop at Halloween. She’s known to go over the top with birthday parties and special occasions in general. It is so much fun!

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.
My beach loving sister gave up beautiful San Diego to support her husband in going back to school in cold, snowy UT. She’s a work at home mom- balancing two crazy, cute, busy boys while balancing Allora Handmade . It hasn’t been easy. At all. But she handles tough times with grace and a big dimple smile.

This sums her up to a T- Becky Earl captured her beautifully!

There’s no dream too small or too large.

That Jess has sure roped me into some far fetched goals. She challenged me to run a 1/2 marathon with her and being a stubborn big sister I could not back down.
She’s also the encourager behind the Queen Bee Market- a handmade market we started in San Diego. We’re busy girls right now finishing up last minute details for our holiday show (come shop and say hi if you are anywhere near California! Nov. 12-13th)
I love that we have some really big goals that we’ve set and accomplished together.

Right after our 1/2- hideous aren’t we? But we DID IT!

Life is sweeter with supportive, loving family in it.
Although we’ve had our fair share of drama, my life would not be complete without my little sis in it. I’m so lucky to have you as my sister Jess! Happy happy birthday- wish I could be there to spoil you rotten. See you soon!
