S’mores three different ways!
It’s no secret I love s’mores in all shapes and sizes. In fact, I have an entire Pinterest Board dedicated to all things “S’mores”. So when Ghirardelli invited me to try out their newest chocolate flavors, I thought it would be fun to try them out using one of my favorite ways to eat chocolate: s’mores!
So here’s the thing…when it comes to s’mores, I think we all have a hero in the trio. Is it the smooth chocolate, the gooey marshmallow or the crunchy graham crackers for you? If it’s all about the chocolate (duh), then you’ve got to try them with one of the fun new flavors from Ghirardelli, like Creamy Almond Crunch, Cinnamon Crunch, or for the dark chocolate lovers: Mango Sunset and Cherry Tango. I found them all at Walgreens.
There’s just something so cute to me about the color combination of s’mores. Next time you have them with friends, get everything all out of the packaging and into a fun serving tray for easy access and quick clean up…plus they just look cute all lined up like this. Don’t you think?!
Okay, so here’s a fun idea for S’mores Indoors. Try making them 3 ways and see which ones go the fastest.
I’m a toasty marshmallow fan, so I would go for the this one where the marshmallow is the star.
Option #1: The marshmallow fans. The How To for these is easy: crush graham crackers in a plastic baggie and melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. With a wood skewer, roll the uncooked marshmallow in the chocolate followed by the graham cracker crumbs and finish them off by placing them in an oven safe pan covered in tin foil and broil the tops for a toasted top.
Option #2: The chocolate lovers. Break off a square of your favorite chocolate and press it into marshmallow cream to get a big smear on bottom. Finish it off with a press into crushed graham crackers.
Option #3: The graham cracker lovers – Let the graham crackers be the star for this one. I found this fun idea on Kevin & Amanda – break off a piece of graham cracker, dip into your favorite chocolate and sprinkle mini mallow bits on top.
So for the non-campers who love smores, these are a few fun options. Serve all three on a big platter together for a fun dessert and see which one goes first.
The truth is that they’ll all go fast, because you just can’t resist a good s’more.
I’d love to know…which one would you go for?

Hey in the picture with everything on the tray you have square marshmallows. Where do you buy square ones?
kami says
Hi Jeannie! I just found them at my local grocery store. They are called “stackers”.

I made these for a couple of baby showers a few years ago and they were a big hit! I had mine on candy sticks.
Yours look beautiful, love the the other options! I would have to try them all!!
Jessi says
Does the chocolate not melt off the marshmallow when you put it under the broiler?
kami says
Hi Jessi – It doesn’t melt because you don’t have it under the broiler long enough.

Or you could roll the chocolate dipped marshmallow in coconut. Yum.

Hi. Can you make any of these s’mores ahead of time or do you need to make them and serve them? I would love to make them for my daughter’s bridal shower.
Thanks, Helene

Before I saw all three options, I thought that I was just a toasted marshmallow fan. But after seeing all three options, I don’t know which one to pick for my favorite! I do love the tip on how to toast the marshmallow in the oven though…I’ve not been able to think of an idea before now. =)

It’s a tough choice!
