2011 Our Year In Review

It has been such a big year for our little family with such highs and lows. Here’s a quick recap for each of us:

Kyle -

This year Kyle ran a half Marathon! He has also started to train for Triathalons. He bought a bike that is his new love. (I’m out! ;) ) Good news for I am now covered for all of his birthday, anniversary and Christmas gifts for the next 3+ years! ;)

Kami -

This year I had a lot of fun opportunities with the blog (NoBiggie). I traveled to:
Nashville – L.A. – San Francisco – Phoenix – Dallas – St. Paul – & Boise. I have loved the opportunity to work from home, because there’s no place I’d rather be: home sweet home.

Rukkus -

This year (2011) our little Rukkus the dog has been a part of our family for 10 years! We are crazy for this little mut. :)

Avery -

This was a big year for the Aves-ster. She turned 8 and was baptized, started taking piano lessons, and played (& played & played!). She LOVES her time with her friends. We got a kick out of how she finished off her first book report in the 3rd Grade this year. She ended it with:

“Now I don’t want to spoil it for you…you’ll have to read the rest for yourself”.

If only her teacher would have gone for it. (nice try Aves!)

Aiden -

Watch out, here comes the Fire Chief! This little guy is rarely with out his Fire Chief costume. We have loved watching him grow this last year. One of our favorite “Aiden-isms” is when he was once eating a hamburger, and it fell apart and he looked down at it, and said:

“I so mad!”

We quote him often.

Afton -

Our sweet little Afton Jean joined our family this year on November 14th. She graced our lives for a short 7 days until she returned home to her Father in Heaven. In her short week here, she changed us all for good. We will always remember and celebrate the life of our little Afton, and we look forward to the day when we can be with her again. (tears)

Through the highs and lows of this big year for our little family, we have come to cherish our relationships with you: our friends and family. We are so thankful for you all, along with our Savior and the peace he brings this time of year. We are all truly blessed.

    Shalom,
I just joined your blog family and I enjoyed meeting you and your family by way of emaiil, you have truely been blessed. I myself have 4 adult children and 14 grandchildren and I love it when we get an opportunity
to be together and enjoy time with each other (as we are pretty scattered several states apart). As with you reunitting with your precious little one, we too will some day all be together with our heavernly father. I leave you and your family with this precious blessing, Numbers 6:24-26, The LORD bless you, and keep you, the LORD make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace.
    Shalom,
    Irene
