I attended a creative weekend for women called Spark The Event which was hosted by the talented Margie Romney Aslett, Rhonna Farrer & Liz Kartchner. With these three creative powerhouses, you know you are in for a good time. I loved every minute of my time at Spark #2.
I went alone, and right away made friends with these two sweet girls
(Sara & Kira) who also came alone (and who I wish had blogs so I could link over to them). They were my Sparkettes all weekend long. It was such a coincidence that we all walked in together at the same time. It was meant to be.

Here’s a bunch of my Spark buddies in Liz’s class. Such a fun group of girls.
One of the highlights for me was the photography class with Wendy of Blue Lily Photography. She was so accommodating and informative, not to mention very sweet and down to earth.
Here’s a picture I took of her during the class. I love how it turned out…love her.
My friend Amy was the magic behind all the food. She successfully fed 200+ women four delicious meals and ran a full candy bar with about 100 pounds of candy. I wish I had a full picture of the beautiful buffet on Saturday night. It was gorgeous! She had a team of women working to make everything so very Amy, which means so very Over The Top awesome. I love Amy.
There were so many cool classes at Spark. I loved this Felted Wool Scarf class with Emily Falconbridge. Last Christmas, I fell in love with this felted wool wreath or how about this felted wool rug. Now that I know what it takes to make one or buy one… ![]()

As I mentioned yesterday, Friday night Mindy Gledhill sang to us a bunch of songs off of her new album Anchor. My favorite being my current song of the week.
Margie. who doesn’t just love Margie. If you are one of her 3,600 facebook friends, then I don’t need to say anything more. She just makes everyone feel like a million bucks and she’s a hoot. -love her. I wish I had a picture of the three Spark girls together.
I’m so glad I had the chance to go to Spark this year. The decorations this year were enough for me to want to go back every year. If you get the chance to go to Spark #3, I highly recommend it!

psst. I’m talking buttons on MOMformation today.

Rhonna and her family were in our ward years ago. My little sister was their main babysitter. Fun connection!
Okay, I'm dying to know—how do I sign up for Spark 3?!! What a wonderful retreat for myself.
