I don’t know about you, but this time of year, we are going through otter pops right and left. This is another little snack to help cool you off. Canned soda is so inexpensive at the store, that this snack could be shared with most the kids on your street.
It’s also fun to do with your kids. Just stick your favorite soda in a plastic cup, top with tin foil and freeze for a couple of hours starting in the morning sometime, and by the time lunch rolls around, you’ll have a slushie that was cheap and easy. Try putting icecream at the bottom too.
Mmm…homemade slushies are my favorite, especially Coke slushies.

Want to hear something sad? No Shasta here.
I bet even I could do this.
This is such a good idea. I'm going to go make them right now so they will be ready around noon. You always have the most amazing ideas. I love your blog.
My boys are gonna be all over this. I just bought A&W Otter Pops in the dollar section at Target, but this will be even better.
Okay, this is a GREAT idea! We are going to try it this week!
Fabulous idea!! Thanks for sharing!
Great Idea! Is it possible to use juice for this as well?
G. – Yes, you could freeze juice, I think it would work great!
Tiff – What no Shasta?! Major Bummer.
Ohhh! Those look fantastic! I love slushies, especially with ice cream.
That looks so good Kami! Can't wait to try it with my girls. Thanks for the fun idea!
Yum! I love black cherry
You know you're so smart, right? YUM.
thank you!! my kids bug me constantly for slushies, I'm going to surprise them with these tomorrow
Love this idea. Definitely gotta try this with my nieces. Seems like it'd be a total hit.
Your tip SAVED ME! I was having Coke slushies anytime I wanted and it kept this pregnant lady happy all summer!
Do these freeze solid? Or will they always remain slushy? Thanks!
If you leave it in your freezer for too long, then it will get solid. You can only leave it in for 2 hours at the most.
Thanks for asking!
