Quick Tip: Reuseable Laundry Detergent Pump

Back in January at ALT, each attendee got a small Method laundry detergent pump in their swag bag. I love the convenient size of this little pump. After it was all gone, I took the label off and filled it up with the detergent I already had. This way you don’t have to get out the big container every time you do laundry…just grab the little pump.

Just a little earth friendly quick tip. biggrin

Brett loves the Quick Tips that I learn from blogging. Every time we eat something hot, he always says, "Quick Tip" before touching his lips, or when he opens the dishwasher to drag the crumbs, he says,"Quick Tip". It cracks me up.

Love this tip! I will have to remember it–I hate the mess those large detergent bottles can make!

Don't forget tho that the Method laundry soap is extremely concentrated and the Tide is not. So pump accordingly, LOL.

I loved my Method soap from ALT too and was sad when I used it up. For some reason, that little pump was just so dang fun. Now I'm sad that I threw mine away!

I am not sure if the method bottles all have pumps you can reuse but if they do they have a challenge out now, if you don't like it or have any issues with it you can choose to either get a refund check or a coupon to get another one for free. Check it out here:

    http://www.methodlaundry.com/challenge

Also the website has a $2 off coupon for the product when you intially buy it. It's worth checking it out.

I make my own detergent, but having a smaller container to put it in instead of using the 1/2C measure to get it out of the 5 gallon bucket would be nice. With this challenge it would be worth it if the pump comes off so I can reuse the container.

    Hi Kami,

I love this idea. Now that you've done a few loads of laundry are you still finding that your clothes are getting clean? I have an HE machine which uses less soap but I use way more than what would come out in four-six squirts.

    I'd love to hear what you've found…

    Thanks! Love your blog.
