Giveaway: A Book About Adoption

Giveaway Now Closed

Once Upon a Time: An Adoption Story is a darling little book that helps children understand adoption and how much love is involved. Ashley Hansen Bigler (the Author) and Amy Hintze (The Illustrator) have done a wonderful job together in explaining adoption in a simple and very loving way.

My little family has been blessed by adoption. We adopted our son Aiden in 2008, and he has brought so much love to our home. We couldn’t imagine our lives without him. This book will help us when it comes time to explain adoption to him. I love that we have simple resources like this to help show him how much love is involved in adoption.

I grew up with the Illustrator, Amy Hintze. She has such a talent, and really has made this book come to life. She included this picture of our kids (from last May) in a collage on the last page of the book. Which makes this book that much more special to me.

Can you find them?

If you or someone you know has been touched by adoption, this book would be such a sweet gift to give. If you’d like to buy it now, you can RIGHT HERE.

what a neat book! we adopted our little asher in '08 as well. he has been such a blessing to our family. our soon to be 4 year old ruby, has just recently been asking questions like, why did asher have to be in a different mom's tummy? why couldn't he be in your tummy like i was? anyway, this book would be awesome, not only for little asher, but for ruby as well.

Would love to share this book with our good friends who just last week officially adopted their baby girl. The family was sealed on Saturday in the Mt. Timpanogos temple. It was beautiful and touching to see all five of their daughters dressed in white to become a forever family.

I'm not sure how I found your blog, but I'm way impressed. Once upon a time, a long time ago, I went to Timpview with Kyle. I'm older than him, but he might remember my brother, Luke?

    Crystal says:

I would love to be entered in to win the book. We are currently in the process of adopting sibling toddlers, our homestudy is in two weeks and is the final piece so we can start adding to our family. We have been so blessed in our lives, with the exception of being unable to have children. The cost to adopt infants or international adoptions are so much, that in our heart of hearts adopting toddlers here in the U.S. is right for us.

I wish whoever wins the best of luck in their own adoption journey.

    Blessings,
    Crystal~
