all you need is LOVE

A few years back we were invited as a family over to our friends home for Valentine's night. I loved that night for so many reasons:
- we didn't have to try to find a babysitter to go out
- we celebrated Valentine's night as a couple a few nights before, avoiding the dreaded unromantic overcrowded lobby (yuck!)
- we got to be with family friends and the kids had a blast

For an activity, we played a game of Name That Tune with all songs that have the word LOVE in the title. I searched our itunes and tried to pick the songs that were most well known.

FEB. 14th is on a Sunday this year, and I'm thinking this would be a great night to play it again. Here is the (random)playlist to give you an idea of some of the songs I included. I'm all over the map when it comes to music.

ps. Maybe I'll add a little Juice Newton to the mix.biggrin

I love this idea, and your playlist! There's nothing worse than that crowded lobby on Valentine's Day.

Just the inspiration I needed. I was trying to come up with a Valentine's idea for the fam...other than heart shaped pancakes. ;)

Cute! BTW, your Thrifty Thursdays have really inspired me. I've started hanging out at Goodwill after I drop off my daughter for ballet....and while my son is at cub scouts....I've scouted out all the Goodwill stores in a 10 mile radius of my home.....and I figured out how to make apothecary jars from stuff I found there!!!!!! I'm going to post a tutorial on my blog today. Thank you thank you thank you!

Such a great idea. Love Where Is the Love, by the Black Eyed Peas.

ummmmmm.....hello? you have both "love boat theme" and "endless love" unchecked.

i can't believe that they aren't on your everyday playlist. what's up with that?

you know how much i love this kind of thing--music trivia is about the only thing that i am good at in life.

Super cute idea! We always try to go a different night too. The restaurant/babysitter thing is just too hard. Plus, it's fun to celebrate with the kiddos. I have a Valentines Card giveaway going if you'd like to join!!!

I hate going out on Valentine's Day, just because everyone else is going out. Kind of bugs. I'm thinking I may go pick up Cheesecake Factory and eat it at home in our pjs with a good movie.
