Right now, OfficeMax has a campaign going on called “A Day Made Better” with a goal of helping to erase teacher funded classrooms. A bunch of us got together for a little Girl’s Game Night along with a bunch of donated school supplies to help out a great cause.
The highlight of the night was the rubberband ball contest: to see who could get to the center of the ball first. Geez-Lousie, some of those girls were in-it-to-win-it! I however, wanted to bring my rubberband ball home just how it was.
Right now, there are parties in support of this campaign, going on all over the nation. You can see all their stories on Whrrl, here. You can see more from our Girl’s Game Night Out, right here.
Thanks to the hosts Jyl of Mom It Forward and to Rachael of Todays Mama for a fun night!

look, i'm still awake!
you are the most social person i know!
I would have kept my ball intact as well. That's way too cute.
What a neat idea for a party.
REALLY…you had to post that absolutely awful picture that could have been cute if you could see the rubberbands!
aww, C'mon Evonne… It shows the two of us having fun!
I was supposed to go to that event with my gal pal Mattie (in the middle of the middle row with the little baby gal in her arms) but something came up and I couldn't go. I'm bummed! Not only did it sound like a ton of fun but I could have met you IRL. (She says trying not to sound like a stalker) :] Glad you guys had fun!
Looks like you guys had a ball.
Get it, ball?
What a great night out and for such a good cause. BTW – my daughter has been talking about those rubber band balls for ages. That is so cool!
XOXO
Jen
Looks like a great time for a great cause…
I want one of those balls
It was so much fun seeing you there!
And I cannot believe you snapped some of those shots with just your point and shoot. I need to take lessons from you!
