Some mornings, we just don’t have time to make pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes (preferably). Even though Avery would have them every morning if she could.
So on the mornings we do have time, we make extra. To keep them from sticking together while in the fridge or the freezer, cut a few small pieces of parchment or tinfoil to layer in between them. So on that busy gotta-get-out-the-door morning, you can just nuke’em (aka microwave them) or toast’em* and you’re done.
Voila! (aka Walla!)![]()
They warm up fast, so just a few seconds should do.
P.S. Anyone know the magic microwave number for a Krispie Creme Donut?

is there a way to keep leftover pancakes crispy? not soggy? and i think the magic number is 6.
crispy?
put then in the toaster.
this is perfect. i am on my own with my three every morning and we are out the door by 7:30. oh happy day. a breakfast solution.
thanks!
My magic KK # is 8.
Also, I love popping pancakes in the toaster. I can't stand soggy pancakes from the microwave!
Donut time is 9 for sure on mine. Why did they have to leave slc???
We do this! But actually not usually for other breakfasts, but for easy snacks for the baby/toddler! Hungry? Here's a pancake! He can hold it and eat it all on his own. Perfect!
We toast them too – perfect!! They are back to the crispy, freshly made texture.
We do the same thing with french toast and then pop it in the toaster so it's warm and just a bit crisp. Mmm!
In our house, the magic Krispy Kreme number is 7!
i'll agree with everyone else and say pop them in the toaster!
Thank you! You inspired me to make pancakes this morning.
I love the idea to put them in the toaster after you've frozen them, brilliant!
We do the exact same thing with pancakes!
Also, the magical number is 8. Always has been……..
We do this with waffles too. Makes life so much easier!
