This is a widgeted area which is called Featured Bottom Left. It is using the Genesis - Featured Posts widget to display what you see on the Family Tree child theme demo site. To get started, log into your WordPress dashboard, and then go to the Appearance > Widgets screen. There you can drag the Genesis - Featured Posts widget into the Featured Bottom widget area on the right hand side. To get the image to display, simply upload an image through the media uploader on the edit page screen and publish your page. The Featured Posts widget will know to display the post image as long as you select that option in the widget interface.

That is a fabulous tip anonymous! But I'm having problems. When I change all the numbers, the photo disappears! The s800 part looks different in my HTML than in Kami's. No /s400/bloom.jpg is in there.
Anyway, thanks Kami for always hooking us up with the BEST tips!
Well that cuts out a step. I wonder why Anonymous stayed Anonymous?
Wow! What a nice person!
I had been told to change the s400 to s800 but not to delete the width and height, now it works after deleting those 2 things!! Thank you anonymous and to Kami:) It saved me soooo much time doing it this way!
I'll admit that I was overwhelmed by the hosting and figuring out yet another system, but now I think I can give it a go! Anonymous rocks!
Wow I love it that others are willing to share what they know. I love bloggers!
who woulda thought? i just tried it with an old post and it worked. i'm THRILLED.
why is it that my personal 'anonymous' comments tend to be mean. NOT helpful.
waaaaahhhh!
Wow.
Anonymous is usually so mean.
Love, Love, Love your blog. You inspire me with your pic's. I just started taking pic's on manuel and can't take enough. I want to improve my blog, but have little experience. How do you make your title? With all the pic's on it. Are you from Utah? Just wondering cause I am same faith.
Thanks
Super great tip! The only thing I hate about the big photos is that my laptop cuts the whole right side off.
what a wonderful tip! Thank you AND Anonymous.
I really enjoy your blog and can't even remember how I came across it in the first place – but thanks for letting me read!
Feel free to stop by our blog anytime
Wow, I thought anonymouses only wrote bitchy mean comments. Good to know there is one nice anonymous out there!
And if 800 is too big…try 576. That's the perfect size for me.
(Sorry…I should have told you about all this sooner…I could have beat anonymous on that tip!)
Thank you for posting that!! It is so easy…I wanted to figure out how to make the pics bigger without going to another site. I just tried it…so fun.
PS we are making your pizza on the grill ALL the time! Thanks for all the fun ideas
This is awesome. I was honestly about to email you this question and I ran right into this post! Yeah! I've been wanting bigger pictures for a while now…and now I have found the way!! Thanks so much for the tip!
I always delete the height and width and change the 400 to 640 (based on Darby's advice at Boybarians.)
