Actually, C is for cake, er…I mean brownie. Whatever. You might recognize this as one of my wishes listed right here. Well, I am here to tell you that wishes do come true. Especially if you drive yourself to the store and make them happen.
To make this cake, I used two brownie packages and for the frosting I wanted something white, light and fluffy to go with the super dense rich brownie. So, I used my favorite frosting recipe, White Mountain Frosting.
To keep it real, I wanted to post my first attempt. Which I tried with ice cream. I followed their directions on the box and it didn’t go too well (as you can see).

Not so pretty…but still tasted good (that’s all that matters, right.) If I ever try it again with ice cream, I think I would only soften the ice cream enough to form it into a flat circle and than assemble the cake just before serving rather than freezing the ice cream layer and the cake layer together as they suggested.
Also, these were very helpful along with lots of baking spray with flour.

The ice cream one is making me salivate. I don’t care if it’s a little messy!
Thanks for making your dreams come true!
OOoooo i would TOTALLY eat that
I can’t wait to buy one! So fun I love it. Where did you get it?
Might I say that it makes me love you more that you posted your first attempt!
“c is for cookie,

Driving yourself to the store is one of the best ways to make your dreams come true!!! Looks scrumptious to me
mmmmmm, my tummy is totally growling looking at that picture. I.must.have.that!
Yours look amazing! The one in the store that was premade looked HORRIBLE. Maybe I will hop over and buy one. But really…who puts a bad looking cake on display? Stupid william sonoma…
My kids would really dig this….I think I will be driving myself to the store as well.
This cake is gorgeous! I’m envious of the availability of cute baking pans etc that you have in the US compared to here in Australia. Thanks for the great photos.
